Senior Accountant
POSITION SUMMARY: We're seeking a motivated, professional, and highly organized Senior Accountant to join our organization supporting the full-cycle accounting process. You will work closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure that all financial transactions are accurately captured and recorded, and you will assist in developing accounting policies, procedures, and process improvements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setting up and maintaining vendor and client information (ie. tax forms, banking info, and client and vendor correspondence)
- Processing and reviewing accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions and recording to the general ledger
- Prepare supporting documentation and analyzing job costing in advance of client invoicing and corresponding journal entries
- Reconciliation of cash/bank accounts, payroll, accounts receivable and other balance sheet accounts and related month-end journal entries
- Reviewing and reconciling credit card transactions
- Preparing supporting work papers for sales and use tax calculations. Remit tax payments and required documentation to tax authorities.
- Accounts receivable collections
- Supporting annual audit/annual tax return support responsibilities
- Preparation of various financial statements monthly/quarterly/annually, including variance/gap analysis of departmental expense vs budget review/reconciliations
- Company payroll preparation and variance reporting
SUCCESS CRITERIA:
- High level of prioritization ability required, especially around month-end close, to achieve our desired timeline
- Excellent communication skills are essential for this role as you collaborate with client teams to analyze and translate financial information that allows for improved business decisions
QUALIFICATIONS AND KEY COMPETENCIES:
- Education:
- 2-year or 4-year degree in Accounting/Finance
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Other:

- Acute attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal and communication skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficient in MS Office products, strong MS Excel skills required
- QuickBooks experience preferred
- Marketing agency experience a plus, but not required
